About

Built so one day all roads will be open for you!

Finding the right embassy shouldn't require ten browser tabs and a phone call to a friend who went through it last year. Metanastes.org started as a simple idea: put the embassy or consulate you need — address, phone number, and official site — in front of you in two clicks, with an honest warning when the data might be out of date.

Who this is for

Migrants, refugees, students, and long-term travelers who need to reach their own country's embassy, or another country's, for passports, visas, civil registrations, notarizations, and similar consular services.

Where the data comes from

Our Embassy directory is built from the registry of foreign missions, distributed online. That registry is dated 2016. We display it as-is, with every result flagged so you know to confirm it before relying on it — addresses and phone numbers for diplomatic missions do change, sometimes without much public notice.

We're working toward verifying entries against embassies' own websites over time, and toward adding directories for other countries. If you spot something outdated, please let us know.

How we stay free

Metanastes.org doesn't charge for searches and never will. The site is supported by affiliate partnerships — money transfer services, travel insurance, immigration consultation referrals, and connectivity or language-learning providers — disclosed in full on our affiliate disclosure page. We only recommend categories of service we think are genuinely useful at this stage of moving to a new country; we don't accept payment to misrepresent how a service works.
